In the first part of this episode we’re talking to Ramzi. Ramzi and I met when I traveled to Jordan for work. Ramzi lives on a family farm outside Amman in a multigenerational household. He spends his days working remotely with the team at Questscope, a nonprofit in Jordan committed to serving youth around the country. After helping his own kids with homework and getting them to bed, Ramzi spends a little time at night sitting outside among the olive trees reflecting on what’s happening in our world now, and how close to home it really feels…

In the second part of this episode we’re talking to Kelly. Kelly and I studied abroad together in Oxford, England. Kelly and her husband Andrew met in Austin, Texas, and live in on London where, last fall, they opened a neighborhood food shoppe called Middle Lane Market. They’ve been working non-stop since the virus hit the UK delivering eggs, milk and grocery essentials to London customers, and when we talked, Kelly said that when they first opened the shop they never imagined the kind of work they’re doing now...

In the last part of this episode we’re talking to Tanya. Tanya works at HAUS Salon in Minneapolis which temporarily closed a few weeks ago when Minnesota Governor Tim Walz ordered non essential businesses to shut their doors. Tanya has since been home with her kids and her husband. She said it’s been non-stop, with a completely new routine and a few very creative ways to work out some built up anxiety….
